For us, sustainability is not just a goal — it’s a responsibility we carry on behalf of current and future generations

ESG Strategy

We work with a clear ESG strategy built around three strategic focus areas:

  • Circularity for the benefit of current and future generations
Reducing environmental impact through lower emissions, energy use and promoting circular resource flows
  • Great place to work
Ensuring competence development, high employee engagement, as well as a safe and healthy workplace for our employees
  • Customers’ knowledge partner
By acting decently and responsibly in everything we do, and supporting our customers in their sustainability related endeavors through showcasing transparency and high-quality data enabled by digital solutions

We have defined the following strategic initiatives to support each focus area:

2019

First energy and climate report

In 2019, we published our first group energy and climate report, providing a comprehensive overview of our greenhouse gas emissions. This milestone marks our commitment to better understand and provide transparency around our environmental impact.

2024

Double Materiality Assessment performed

In 2024, we conducted a Double Materiality Assessment to identify the most significant topics across the group. The assessment provided a better understanding of how Reconor Group impacts the environment and society, as well as, how environmental and social issues impact the group.

ESG strategy defined

In extension of the Double Materiality Assessment, we launched a comprehensive ESG strategy that integrates sustainability into our core business. The strategy includes strategic focus areas and concrete initiatives that support long-term value creation.

Great Place to Work initiative initiated

In 2024, we initiated an effort across the group to enhance workplace culture and employee engagement. Great Place to Work is an important initiative to support the social aspect of the ESG strategy.

2025

ESG policy and risk management implemented

During 2025, we implemented a structured ESG risk management framework to proactively identify, assess and mitigate risks related to environmental, social and governance factors. Furthermore, we defined our ESG policy to outline overarching principles, commitments and expectations across the group. Together, the ESG policy and risk management framework strengthen our ability to operate responsibly and resiliently.

Supplier agreement: Procured electricity to originate 100% from renewable energy sources across the group

From July 1, 2025, all procured electricity across Reconor Group will be derived from 100% renewable energy sources. This initiative supports our strategy and green transition, and will significantly reduce our location-based scope 2 emissions.

Energy and Climate Report

In 2025, we published our first public energy and climate report, providing detailed insights into our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for 2024. The report enhances transparency and accountability across the group and serves as carbon baseline for our upcoming CO₂e-reduction targets.
